Grubco was founded in 1951 as one of the first mail order bait companies in the United States. I purchased the company from the founder in 1987 and expanded the product line from spikes and mealworms to include waxworms, crickets and superworms. In the early 1990's, the pet industry experienced a boom in reptiles and amphibians. Our focus shifted into that industry while still maintaining a strong customer base in the fishing area. Even though there was, and continues to be, a tremendous growth in the pet area, and we are still active in that area, fishing remained a passionate hobby for the employees and myself. We wanted to do more to promote fishing with our live bait.
In 2002, with the enthusiasm and encouragement of all the employees, we decided to form Grubcobait in order to concentrate our efforts exclusively to our bait customers. An example of this determination was the decision to become a national sponsor of Crappie USA. This commitment is heartfelt throughout the organization. We know we have the best product available and we are anxious to share the fish catching abilities of our bait with our customers.
We have many letters from customers thanking us for providing bait for their fishing trip. We have shipped to every state in the United States and Canada to make sure our customers had bait when they needed it most. We pride ourselves in doing the extra things to make our customers want to come back to us. No other company provides better service, quality or guarantee than Grubcobait. We know. We have seen their products and have tested their service. We also know how we want to be treated and how much we appreciate excellent service. We settle for nothing less. Thinking back to 1987 and 8,000 customers, to now in 2007 with over 80,000 customers, we must have done something right. Perfect...lively bait and on-time delivery every time! The price is right, with the quality and the amount of bait that you get. If you follow instructions on how to properly care for them, they can last for several weeks to several months on some baits. They quarantee live delivery and ship on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday to insure that the baits don't get stranded at the post office on the weekend. After ordering, I usually get the baits the next day, but it could take 2-3 days depending on your location. It's definitely the place I go when I need more bait!
